Knowledge of what the Quincy Department does on a daily basis is important. It is much more than writing up parking tickets, directing traffic and riding in the police car. These men and women put their life on the line everyday for us. But why do they do things the way they do?

By sighing up for the Quincy Citizens Police Academy, you will find out how the police department operates. During these sessions, Police Department personnel will instruct citizens, who will learn in a hands-on atmosphere about the organization, procedures, and services of the police department.

Interested? To be considered to attend the upcoming Citizen Police Academy you must be 18 years of age and either live, work or own property in the city of Quincy. To find out more, or if you have any questions about the Police Academy, call the Quincy Police Department's Pro-Act Unit at 217-228-4485. You will learn a lot and have a lot of fun at the same time!
