The Quincy University women's basketball team will be holding their annual "Creating Memories" game this Saturday (Feb. 10) against Truman State at 1 p.m. The Hawks Creating Memories Foundation donates money raised throughout the season to a patient battling cancer at the Blessing Cancer Center.  In working with the Blessing Cancer staff and the Blessing Foundation, the Hawks are able to use the money for local families to help in creating a memory.

The recipient uses the money donated to "create a special memory" for themselves and their family.  The Lady Hawks have helped numerous families through this initiative with their annual contributions.

The Lady Hawks raise funds for the Foundation by selling t-shirts, accepting any donations and by taking pledges for every three-point field goal scored by the Hawks in Saturday's game.

Head coach Jeni Garber has already pledged $25 for each made three-pointer which they are currently averaging seven a game.

As the Hawks continue their season, they wish the best for past, present, and future recipients in their battles with cancer.
