Anybody who knows me, knows I am the last person to wear a pink shirt in public. The other day I was involved in a conversation regarding men wearing pink and was asked if I would wear one. Initially I said no way but backed off of that thought when a couple of women said that "women like guys in pink shirts". So off I went to buy my fist pink shirt in years. I made the purchase with some trepidation. I also bought a tie to go with it as well. So today was the day to put the ladies comments to the test. Off I went this morning to work. Mr. Oliver made no comment when he first saw me so I figured I passed the first test. Then came Mr. Paul Rittof into the studio to join us one the air. I knew the real test was about to happen and it did. I know Paul well enough to know what he was about to say and say he did. I expected it and from that point on I have been the brunt of one suggestive comment after another from the men I ran into today. On the other hand, the ladies almost unanimously said they liked it on me. The jury in my head is really leaning male here but I keep coming back to the ladies comments. So here I sit writing this analysis of day one of the pink shirt wearing and I am still wearing it. I am trying to convince myself that it is actually a red shirt that got mixed up with some white dye. In any case, my ears are now deaf to men today and definitely wide open to hearing the ladies. I guess those two ladies were right.
