Pizza Place Voted #1 to Avoid Still Has 7 Locations in Missouri

I've been to this Missouri pizza place and lived to tell about it. That's why I don't quite understand the internet's alarm about a pizza place voted #1 to avoid that still survives with 7 locations in Missouri.

I completely understand why this pizza place gets dogged so much. It's almost like how it became very much in fashion to hate Nickelback a decade or so ago. This is the pizza equivalent of Nickelback. That's my takeaway anyway.

This isn't my list though. It comes courtesy of 24/7 Wall St. They list the 5 pizza chains to avoid and #1 on their list is infamous for many things. A few years ago they got famous for serving alcohol in a kid's pizza place. Good call (*sarcasm*).

That's right. The #1 pizza chain that 24/7 Wall St says to avoid is Chuck E Cheese which still has 7 locations in Missouri according to their official website. It says they maintain pizza/alcohol joints in:

• Ellisville
• Independence
• Joplin
• Kansas City
• Springfield
• St. Charles
• St. Louis

I think the one I went to was in St. Charles, but my memory is foggy. My only memory is that the pizza was...um...marginal and the place was nearly empty. My kids wanted to play games which is why we went there in the first place. This was before the alcohol option entered the picture.

Is it really the #1 pizza joint to avoid in Missouri? Not sure about that, but I never made plans to return after our visit which probably says something.
