Missouri Highway Patrol DWI Saturation Checkpoints

Just a friendly reminder about Missouri Highway Patrol check points.

Troop B Officers will be conducting DWI enforcement saturation checkpoints in Shelby County and a sobriety checkpoint in Marion County. Troopers will focus their attention on selected highways with a goal of detecting intoxicated drivers.

"The Patrol is committed to removing intoxicated drivers from our highways," said Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B. "I would like to urge all motorists to choose a sober designated driver if drinking alcohol is part of your plans."

Also, in support of "The Drive To Zero Highway Traffic Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Also, Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
