It would be a good idea to park your vehicle inside if you have the option later this week as Missouri is in the danger zone for a big hail, wind and maybe even tornado event on Friday.

The National Weather Service is officially calling this an "unsettled weather pattern" which looks to impact Missouri later this week with Friday in particular expected to be a stormy day.

The National Weather Service is being their typical conservative selves (for good reason) saying (in bold) that there are many uncertain factors that will affect storm intensity. That is true. However, know that many models are showing Missouri right in the middle of the danger zone for what will likely be a big hail and wind event for someone. This is the map shared by Colorado State University for Friday specifically.

Keep in mind this is a severe weather event expected to stretch over several days at the end of the week as their kaleidoscope of maps show.

For Missouri specifically, it looks like the most concerning days are Friday and Saturday but it's not impossible that Thursday could be stormy in parts of the state, too.

The official National Weather Service forecast from St. Louis for the end of the week doesn't reflect severe weather possibilities as it's too far out as of this writing, but keep an eye on the end of the week as the Show Me State may be about to experience big hail and wind again.
