Joke of the Day – November 12: Hillbilly Portrait

Even the Beverly Hillbillies weren't this clueless.

After living in the remote wilderness of Kentucky all his life, an old hillbilly decided it was finally time to visit the big city.

In one of the stores he picked up a mirror and, not knowing what it was, remarked, "how 'bout that? Here's a picture of my daddy!"

He bought that "picture," but on the way home he remembered that his wife, Lizzie, hated his father. So instead of hanging the mirror in the house he hung it in his barn, and every morning before leaving for the fields he would look at it.

Lizzie began to get a little suspicious of these many trips to the barn. One day after her husband left she went out to the barn and searched and found that mirror. And as she looked into that glass she fumed, "so that's the ugly woman he's been running around with!"
