Michael held up as the most popular name for a boy for a long while. But according to the Social Security Administration the most popular name for a boy is Jacob. It is the 13th year in a row that Jacob has held the top spot. Sophia is the top name for girls. Here is the top ten for both boys and girls from 2011.
