There's a new national survey of those that date online which has some interesting finds about Illinois singles. It would appear that "swipe left" is their favorite action as the Land of Lincoln is allegedly full of picky people.

There's a song that says "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and that seems to be the unofficial anthem of singles in Illinois. The Matchmaking Company just shared a ranking of the states with the pickiest online daters and guess who's at the top of the list? Spoiler Alert - It's Illinois.

The ranking says the top reason why Illinois singles and other online daters don't make a love connection is due to "perceived unattractiveness (32%), mismatched bios (21%), and lack of shared interests". This just in. Everyone claims they love hiking, but few do it. Truth. 

There's another issue with dating in Illinois and that's the number of crime stories that involve alleged perpetrators who were preying on online daters.

Another interesting takeaway is that Illinois women are pickier than men going through an average of 17 profiles before they "swipe right" while the dudes only see a dozen before they're good with saying hello.
