It's not weird to see birds in your Illinois backyard obviously. It would be unusual to NOT see birds. But, it's certainly not common to see an Albino robin and that's exactly what happened recently as a video share proves.

This YouTube short doesn't give an exact location, but the title does reveal that it happened in the Land of Lincoln as it says "My Illinois Albino Robin Encounter" and that's perfect because that's exactly what happened. It begins with a very white bird on the ground.

Once the bird realizes he's the star of a YouTube video, he/she/it takes off. This robin is completely white meaning it really is Albino and not Leucistic.

Albino robins are still rare as the condition reportedly only occurs 1 in every 30,000, so this is still an ultra-unique Illinois backyard bird experience.
