Man Prepping for Hurricane Irma Gives Last Generator in Store to Desperate Woman in Need
Hurricane Irma may do damage to Florida, but it can’t destroy the human spirit.
As the state braces for the impending storm, one man in Orlando showed off an act of generosity to be admired.
Customers went to Lowe’s to get supplies for the hurricane and all 216 generators in stock sold out within two hours. Pam Brekke was the next in line to get one — she traveled 20 miles to the store to get one she desperately wanted since her dad who is on oxygen may need it if the power goes out.
Left in tears, Brekke was stunned when Ramon Santiago — a total stranger — walked up to her and gave her his generator, no questions asked.
Santiago, who speaks English as a second language, was happy to help. “She need the generator,” he said, “It’s okay. No worry for them.”
Brekke, meanwhile, was blown away by the gesture. “I’m very overwhelmed by that man,” she said. “That gentleman was a great gentleman right there. God will bless that man.”
