Free fishing days in Illinois are June 11 thru June 14. Free is Free. This is one time of the year when it is legal  to fish Illinois waters without Mr. Conservation man looking over your back. It is a great time to take the kids out to a pond and teach the relaxing art of fishing to the kids. Make sure you get permission at that pond before you dip the line into the water. It is so much fun to watch kids who have never tried to fish before, catch a blue gill or a bass. It is like a reward of some kind. So go have some fun while it is free to do so.
