Ever Build a Bat House? Here’s Your Chance!

Want to build a bat house? Anyone interested in “bat-yard conservation” is invited to a public bat-house build from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, January 21, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, sponsored by Missouri Bat Census and Hannibal Parks & Recreation.

Boy Scout Troop 106 will be assisting in building bat houses and will be building bat houses to install in Hannibal parks, under the direction of Eagle Scout candidate Evan Kaiser.

Donations of recycled pallets and used water-based dark-colored paint are sought. For more information or to arrange for donation pickup, contact 573-338-8670 or email cavechef@gmail.com.
