Pike County Fair

The 2013 Pike County Fair is set to officially open on Tuesday, July 23 and will run through Saturday, July 27. Events leading up to the opening, including Gymkhana, Miss Pike County Fair Contest, Gospel Music, and 4-H and FFA Judging, will start on the preceding Sunday, July 21.

Concert entertainment on Saturday begins at 4:30 on the small stage with blues band Kingdom Brothers featuring Bowling Green native Chris Shepard. We then move over to the main stage opening with local talentAmos Pitzer at 6:30 p.m; Justin McBride at 7:15 p.m. followed by Daryle Singletary at 8 p.m. and John Michael Montgomery for the 9 p.m. show.

There will be plenty of fun for everyone throughout the week including the every popular Rodeo, back for 2 big nights - Tuesday and Wednesday, aTruck Pull on Wednesday night and Tractor Pull on Thursday night, both on the Main Track and the Demolition Derby on Friday night, this year produced by Ultimate Derby.

New this year on Tuesday night on the Main Track will be a Garden Tractor Pull by the Garden Tractor Pullers of Mid-Missouri.

In addition to the rodeo, the Horse Arena will also feature a Western Speed Horse Show, and Team Sorting. The Moto Cross Track will be buzzing with the Dirt Bike and Quad Races. The popular Lawnmower Derby will also return this year on Saturday afternoon.
