Mt. Vernon Methodist Church will host their annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday August 17, 2014, beginning at 4 P.M.

Homemade ice cream, pie, cobblers, cake as well as sloppy Joe sandwiches, chips and drinks will be offered for a free-will offering.

Music will be provided by the Howard Lake Family music group.

This event is bring held at the beautiful rock church which was built in 1860 and is located in Marion County, MO on County Road 240 between Monroe City and Palmyra.

Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs and come for a fun afternoon of music, visiting & food.
