The Dorothy Quincy Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution of Quincy, Illinois would like to remind all citizens that the week of September 17th through the 23rd commemorates the 226th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention. The local D.A.R. asks citizens to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through the guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained. A display celebrating this event has been set up at John Wood Community College and Ridder’s Business Supply.
