Chief Davis Says Meth and Heroin Continue to be a Problem in Hannibal

On Tuesday morning, Hannibal Police held a press conference announcing the arrests of 26 individuals on various drug-related charges. 21 of those arrested were taken into custody for distribution, and the remaining five were arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine or heroin, two drugs which Hannibal's police chief cites as areas of concern for law enforcement.

It’s Back to School For Area Kids – Five Fun Education Statistics You Might Not Know

School is back in session for kids around the region. Hannibal Public Schools' first day of classes in the 2014/2015 school year was Tuesday, and students in Quincy returned to class today. Many other schools have also started their years, and pretty much all of our area schools will be in session no later than August 25. The U.S. Census Bureau has release some interesting "fun facts" about education in the United States, just in time for the back to school season.

The Hannibal Jaycees are already hard at work on this year's haunted house, which will open the first Friday in October. Quincy Community Theatre Holding Auditions For ‘Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing’

How many of us read 'Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing' when we were in school? Probably most of us, right? I did. Quincy Police Receiving Calls About Computer Scam

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has issued a warning to residents of the state about a telephone came involving criminals claiming to represent Microsoft or other IT companies. Monday afternoon, the Quincy Police Department issued a release saying that they have been receiving calls from local residents complaining of this scam.
