‘Pirates of Silicon Valley,’ the 1999 made-for-TV movie about the early rivalry between Apple’s Steve Jobs and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, saw Jobs played by ‘ER’ star Noah Wyle. But a new film about the now-late Jobs will star an entirely different actor: Ashton Kutcher.

The indie movie ‘Jobs’ will chronicle the life of the creative entrepreneur from his early days as a shaggy-haired dreamer through his tumultuous — and later revered — period at Apple.

While many think of Kutcher as the playboy star of ‘That 70s Show’ and ‘Two and a Half Men,’ he did earn critical acclaim for his dramatic roles in ‘Bobby,’ a fictionalized account of the hours leading up to the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, and in the sex dramedy ‘Spread.’

Of course, this isn’t the only Jobs biopic planned — Sony Pictures is currently developing a big-budget movie based on Walter Isaacson’s bestselling biography of the legendary Apple mastermind.
