This is a shining example of local people helping kids in LaGrange, Missouri.

Kids need a place to go after school and before their parents come home. A safe place where kids can do their home work, get a snack and chill out a little. That place is the LaGrange Community Youth Center. It is a home away from home for kids 8 to 16 years of age on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The center opened in 1990 and it had it's ups and downs throughout the years, but somehow the LaGrange community keeps things going for the kids. Grants sometimes just aren't there and businesses give what they can to the youth center, but it is never enough. But somehow the community comes up with ideas to keep the center open.

If you would like to find out more about the center, stop by this Sunday at 1pm and see how this 24-year-old youth center keeps the faith for the kids in LaGrange. It is a great story of faith and community spirit that helps the kids have fun and stay safe.
