Registration is now open for several Quincy area summer camps. There are programs for artists, athletes, actors, musicians, and plenty more, so your kids will NOT BE BORED this summer!

There are several opportunities for kids to express their creativity and keep busy through several organizations in town. JDub Academy (JWCC Campus) offers several classes throughout the summer for all ages. Quincy YMCA, Kroc Center, Quincy Community Theatre, Quincy Museum and Quincy Art Center all are offering everything from swimming classes to art and acting classes.

The Quincy Public Library kicks off their Summer Reading Program on June 2 and they also host activities all summer long (all free of charge) They have also teamed up with Quincy Transit Lines to provide free rides to the library for kids up to 18 with a library card. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Not all of these classes are free, mind you, but there is financial assistance for those who qualify. And don't wait too long to sign up your kiddo if you're interested (they will fill up fast). I am trying to encourage my oldest to sign up for some theater classes and I think I may be able to talk her into it.
