Thirty-eight years ago, with only 25 runners, the very first Turkey Run was held in Quincy. In 2016, the YMCA set a new record with over 2,600 people pounding the pavement through the streets of Quincy on Thanksgiving morning!  A popular race, the Turkey Run is not just a great way to get your exercise in before the biggest meal of the year; it has become an event where families and friends can enjoy being together. Growing by hundreds of runners each year, it is THE race to be a part of in Quincy!

The 38th annual Turkey Run is currently open for registration!  Get your families together for this Thanksgiving Day tradition. Whether you run, walk, or swim, there is something for everyone! Activities include a 1 mile fun run, 5K walk, 5K or 10K run, or swim. This event is for all ages.  Bring your pets too!

The Turkey Run is a fundraiser. The dollars raised from the race go directly to support YMCA youth development programs and to offer financial assistance to those who otherwise could not afford our programs and services.

The Turkey Run begins at 8 a.m. at the Quincy Family YMCA on Thanksgiving Day.  Cost is $30 for an individual and $55 for a family up to 4 people living in the same household.  Register by November 9th to be guaranteed to receive a performance long sleeve t-shirt!
