The 2015 edition of Wing Fest is coming back to Quincy's Oakley Lindsay Center, meaning thousands of pounds of chicken wings are again about to be consumed.

Rob Ebbing from the Oakley Lindsay Center quizzed me on how many pounds of wings were consumed at last year's event. I grossly under-estimated. My guess of a paltry 200 pounds was embarrassing. In fact, 3,600 pounds of chicken wings were served at last year's event. Rob says one thing that may come as a surprise, although it's not so much when you think about it, is the gallons of milk that are also consumed. Milk is really good at putting out the fire from some of the hotter wings, after all.

This years event will feature a couple new things as well, including live music. 'Soul Shaker' will play from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 'Eric McKay and the Trio' from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is $15.

Rob Ebbing joined us on the morning show to share plenty more details.
