Been off a few days and gettin back into the blog groove. So I was in my truck the other day near my house and I noticed a fire hydrant, and it was yellow and green. WHEN DID THE HYDRANTS CHANGE?

For some reason, I just noticed that they were green and yellow? Where did the red fire hydrants go? Did I miss something? When did this change happen? Man, I need a refresher course in fire hydrants. Do the green and yellow hydrants have some kind of meaning to fire fighters? If it does, then I am sorry I have not kept up with the times or the regulations. I have a yellow and green hydrant by my house. I remember playing in my home town of Pittsfield, Ill. playing in the street and sometimes when it got real hot, the fire men would open one up by our house so we could all get cooled down. That does not happen anymore. So here is a salute to to red hydrants. I miss you.
