This morning I saw a news report on holiday shopping. It mentioned that some Quincy Mall business owners are a little concerned about the upcoming season, now that JC Penney is no longer an anchor store at the mall.

JC Penney closed its store at Quincy Mall last spring, and the space has remained empty ever since. WGEM says that city officials have met with the mall to discuss filling the vacancy, "but so far, no luck."

What would you like to see come to Quincy Mall? I have a wish list of businesses that I would like to see open in our area. The problem with many of them is that they usually don't operate stores in large spaces like the old JC Penney, and the stores that are large enough to fill such a space usually aren't located in shopping malls. Even so, here are just a few businesses that I would like to see come to Quincy, either in the Penney's location or somewhere else.

What stores would be on your list? Or is there something besides a retail store that you think would make a great addition to the mall? Let's hear your ideas!
