If you enjoy fireworks, you almost certainly will be attending a display on the 4th of July. But, did you know that if you want to see the largest fireworks display in Missouri, you'll need to plan your sky viewing for a different day later this year? I can prove it with science.

As we get closer to the 4th of July, I got curious about which city would have the largest fireworks display. The results didn't lead me to any celebration on Independence Day however. What I found is an event called Pyromania by Cedar Lake Cellars. It has that name for a reason. This is just one of the fireballs that were on display at past events. Can you say BOOM?

This display happens in Wright City, Missouri in September. A couple years ago, this guy in a St. Louis Cardinals hat pushed a button. Notice the look on the faces around him.

The push of that button led to this mushroom cloud and I'm not exaggerating.

This year's Pyromania will happen on September 16, 2023. From what I can tell, tickets are already nearly sold out for VIP and advance tickets. Seeing what they blow up in the sky, I am not even a little bit surprised. That's why it's considered the largest fireworks display in the St. Louis region and likely for the entire state of Missouri.
