We Survived Tax Season!

Whew! We made it. Late in the afternoon on April 17 my husband turned in our taxes. Rich is a CPA. He works for a local corporation but does some individual taxes on the side. It pays for our vacation every year. And every year, the Deien household is the last to file. At least we didn't get put on extension this year.

I bring this up because I know so many of you can relate. Is your husband a carpenter? You probably have dozens of unfinished projects around the house. Does your wife clean houses and yet yours is a mess? You're a mechanic with a dead car waiting for repairs in the back yard?

Things that need to get done in your own life take a backseat when you have customers or clients in need. And when you're dealing with numbers all day, or building houses or cleaning or whatever the case may be, the last thing you want to do when you get home is tackle that kind of crap. Can I get an amen?!
