When I heard about two explosions in Boston during the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon, it brought back flashbacks of 9-11 all over again. Innocent people killed and maimed for no reason at all. It also brought out the anger in me in that I wanted this person (or these persons) to suffer for it, as well. God would not have been proud of me for what I was thinking.

It seems like the divisions in this country are getting wider and wider, and people are taking stances on one side of the line or the other. But Monday it was different again, like 9-11 was. We all became Americans together again. It's too bad that we have to have tragedy to accomplish that feeling in people.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a New York Yankee fan but I would have given anything to help those Red Sox fans in that crowd yesterday just like a Cardinal fan would help a Cub fan in need.

We always come away from these tragedies wondering why? Why would someone do this? The problem is that we are thinking like people who care about people and life.  These people do not think like we do, therefore they don't act like we do. How do you stop it from happening again? I am not sure you can.

If nothing else, if these people continue to do these terrorist acts it just makes us stronger in that we put aside our differences and guess what? We ALL become Americans and I wouldn't want to mess with that.
