The United Way of Adams County aims to assist local residents feeling the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To assist in navigating through these financially uncertain times United Way has created the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Relief Fund. It is their hope that the United Way can have a positive impact on the hardships many area residents are sure to face.

Here’s how you can help:

- Go to: www.UnitedWayAdamsCo.org and click on ‘GIVE’ to donate a secure one-time or reoccurring gift via credit/debit card

- You may also mail your check or stop by United Way of Adams County, 936 Broadway, Suite F, Quincy, IL 62301. Please write in the memo: ‘Coronavirus COVID-19 Relief Fund’.

- Securely give to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Relief Fund, set up to assist area residents through the Quincy Area Partnership for Unmet Needs committee – a fiscal partnership of United Way of Adams County.

According to a United Way news release, “Adams County residents, from every walk of life, are feeling the effects caused by the uncertainty of the Coronavirus pandemic,” said United Way of Adams County Executive Director, Jeremy Wingerter. “Our mission includes assisting Adams County through financial hardships, and the monies we raise through this fund will help impact our friends and neighbors during this time.”

The Quincy Area Partnership for Unmet Needs pools private donations and church pledges to provide stability during a crisis or other difficult situation. Unmet Needs exists to compliment the social service system by compassionately responding through networking and collaborative funding provided by individual agencies, churches and human service organizations to meet the needs of all individuals in our community that may exceed the limits of any agency.
