Two Hannibal Regional Hospital patients tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 24.  The first positive case, from Ralls County, is travel related and the patient is recovering at home in self-quarantine.  The second case, from Shelby County, is currently hospitalized and recovering at Hannibal Regional and is not travel related. Ralls and Shelby County officials are working on tracing the patient’s social connections and making the necessary contacts to lessen the potential spread of the virus from these patients.

According to a news release from the hospital, "Hannibal Regional remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of our patients, communities and team members.  Social distancing will be a key factor in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in Northeast Missouri."
