Two Local Athletes Qualify for State Gymnastics Meet

Two "Level 9" gymnasts from Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling in Quincy have qualified for State Competition later this month.  Ava Winking, age 14, and Haley Woodyard, also 14, will be competing at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois on March 27 through March 29.  Both girls are from Quincy.

Both athletes have competed in five to seven meets individually from October 2019 through February 2020 and each qualified by earning an all-around score of 32.0 or higher all-around score.

The Level 9 team members train six days a week for a total of 16-18 hours weekly. They are coached by Jacob Huff and Hope Huff.
