Trees for Tomorrow, The City of Quincy and the Quincy Park District are teaming up after the July storms.

The City of Quincy, Illinois was hit hard last month by wide spread damage of cars and trees. Quincy has always been famous for it's trees and many were lost in the storm. It took a toll on trees that were a part of Quincy's heritage. Some of those trees were toppled like sticks. Some trees at my house had wood broken off that was drilled into the ground. I had never seen that before.

So now we move into the phase were we start planting new trees to take place of the old ones. For this reason the City of Quincy,The Quincy Park District and Trees for Tomorrow will hold a press conference at Madison Park on August 13 at 8:15 a.m. to announce a plan to replenish trees that were damaged after the July windstorm. The public is welcomed to attend.
