Rain, rain go away. Come again another day. There is going to be plenty of rain this weekend, and if you're needing something to keep the kids busy, here are a few ideas.

Quincy Arts Center will be having their monthly Family Day and Paint Your Own Pottery Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Family Day prices are $5 per family, and includes gallery tours and an art activity. This month's art activity theme will be space. Prices for the Paint Your Own Pottery range from $2 and up, and they have a few new fall pieces and Halloween pieces that look like fun to paint (I'll see ya there).

The 10th Annual Frontier Settlement Day is also on Saturday, and although it is outside it will be an event you don't want to miss. The event will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Quincy’s Lincoln-era Log Cabin Village, and you can watch an reenactment of a period wedding, music from the era, and Abraham Lincoln will even make an appearance.

Another event to take part of this weekend is the 4th Annual Red Dog Salon Fishing for Freedom event, which has been moved indoors (Eagles Club on North 5th St in Quincy) due to the weather. There will be kids games, food, music, and all the proceeds will help the Fishing for Freedom Event.

Try to stay dry this weekend, and good luck keeping the kids busy.
