With gas prices in Quincy climbing to $4.10 a gallon earlier this week,  I wrote on Facebook that we all should steal a page from the movie "Network" and open our windows and yell collectively..."I'm mad as hell and I am not gonna take it anymore".  The response I received on Facebook and in person was amazing.  People were all supportive of the idea. Whether they actually verbalized it or just thought it, they had to feel a little better about it knowing so many of us feel the same way about these gas prices.  Hannibal natives aren't happy either but they are paying some 30 cents less for a gallon of gasoline than Quincy residents are paying.  We all know there is a tax difference between the two states of about 7 or 8 cents a gallon. So why the 23 or 22 cent difference beyond that?  Answers are needed. Answers we may never get. One thing is for sure, gasoline in Quincy dropped today by 10 cents a gallon bringing it down to $4 a gallon.  So perhaps we need to continue to yell.."I'm as mad as hell and I am not gonna take it anymore". It apparently worked once already this week.  Let's see, if we yell it 12 more times at 10 cents a yell it might go down to $2.80 where it was last spring. Just a thought. I can dream can't I?
