Get ready the OG American Girl Dolls are back, and I am freaking out.

I have always wanted an American Girl Doll, especially the Samantha one. I never did get her; she was pretty expensive for my parents back in the 80's when she first debuted in 1986. I was 5 and I saw this doll that not only had my name, but looked like me (brown hair, brown eyes) and I thought she was made just for me. I was 5. The Samantha Doll along with Kirsten and Molly, where the first three dolls in the series., All three debuted in 1986 and were retired between 2008 and 2013.

I have searched for the Samantha Doll which I found on eBay, which includes everything the Samantha Doll came with. Only selling for $11,000, that's a steal (yeah right). Now to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the American Girl Doll, the company is releasing all of the original dolls including Samantha, Kirsten, Molly, Felicity, Addy, and JosefinaAll are a much more affordable price $150. So, I think my dream of owning the Samantha doll might come true. The Felicity, Addy and Josefina dolls were introduced in the 1990s and retired in the mid-2010s.

Now, I am not doing to be spending any money on accessories, but the doll itself is something that I have wanted since I was a kid, and now that I have my own money, I think I can finally afford one. This is also a way to get the dolls that you don't have it you've collected the original dolls in the past. It’s so weird how things happen, I was just talking this past weekend on how my girls treat their dolls, and I wish I had an American Girl Doll especially the Samantha one. And now I have the opportunity to finally own her.
