The Boys Of Fall – Football Season is Almost Here!

Football season is just around the corner. The coaches are getting the plays ready, the cheerleaders are practicing and the football field is looking good. I even received a form letter from a local sports store reminding me about getting a new football jersey.

Being from Pittsfield, I need a red jersey with my name and number on the back. Pride in your school is cool, even as old as I am, I love to keep up with my old high school teams. The funny thing about it is I never played football in high school. I was a basketball guy. But I still go to the games cheer on my favorite boys of fall.

I love the song Kenny Chesney song he had out a few years ago about football, and how the game is a part of the culture of our society. Watch anything on ESPN and you can tell football is the game of choice for most sports fans.

We wish all our area teams the very best this football season. We hope all the players stay healthy, and that they have a great time representing their schools as student athletes.
