Thank You to These Monroe City Heroes!

Monroe City this week honored hometown heroes who saved two women caught in a house fire. The house fire happened April 21 and the circumstances of the rescue were amazing. Thanks to the bravery of two local heroes--Mayor John Long and Police Sergeant Zach James--both women were rescued from the home. It's great to see such positive and uplifting stories like this from our community. Call it serendipity or divine intervention. When former Monroe City mayor Neal Minor shared the story to Facebook, it immediately went viral throughout the community. Check out the full story below:
