No child should ever awake on Christmas morning without a gift. With that in mind, I came up with an idea 8 years ago called "Load the Lobby". Basically, it was an empty floor in our station lobby that needed to be filled with toys for the less fortunate kids in the area. I had no idea how many toys we would collect that first year, but even if we collected 10 toys it was worth it. Well, we collected a whole lobby's worth in 2009 and have done so every year. Our 2016 campaign to collect toys ended last Friday and I am so proud to say we did it again with the emphasis on we. Our listeners came through as they have the past 7 years and completely filled our lobby with good used and new toys.

All of the toys were taken to the Salvation Army for their Toy Town Distribution which will take place this Thursday and Friday. If you were a contributor this year, I can't thank you enough.

You may never get to see the smiles on these children's faces Christmas morning but rest assured those smiles will be from ear to ear.  Merry Christmas!
