This Saturday the Quincy Humane Society will host the Mutt Strut 2018. This year’s theme is Disco InFURno. The event will be held at Wavering Park from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A few months ago officials decided to change North 36th Street from two to one lane in both directions. Its my understanding it was done to accommodate the expected additional traffic flow due to a new school being build in the area. So the lane change was made.
Saturday, September 17th, the 4th Annual “Beat” Beethoven 5K Run/Walk will take place. At 8:00 a.m. runners and walkers from all over the tri-states will start of the race with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony playing. If you can complete the 5K before the entire piece is finished, which is 28 minutes and 39 seconds long, you will be rewarded!
