With the impending strike next week, it has left several Quincy Public School parents scrambling to find child care for their children. So what is the legal age you can leave a child at home alone in Illinois?

The Quincy Notre Dame volleyball team will host a demonstration of the Kroc Center's Big Pink Volleyball in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in between tonight's games against Hannibal. This will be a demonstration game held at approximately 6:30 in the QND Gym. Big Pink Volleyball is a recognized fundraising and awareness event to support breast cancer research, which began at Western Ill

On days that Quincy schools are called off due to the weather, the Kroc Center will help with a new day camp program.

The Salvation Army Kroc Center and Family Services office are open as cooling centers on days when heat advisories are issued, for those who need to get out of the extreme heat.

Third graders in the Quincy Public Schools are getting a chance to experience golf.

Our hope for you this thanksgiving is that you have friends and/or family that you can share a great Thanksgiving dinner with.  Unfortunately, for many, that is not possible due to numerous circumstances.  Please know that the Salvation Army will serve a free community dinner on Thanksgiving from 11:30am to 1:00pm in the gymnasium of the Kroc Center. The entire community is invited.

Halloween is coming at you faster than a witch on a broom. So it's time to get candy.
