The Dogwood Parade is this weekend, but did you know that they are several other events to see other than the parade?

The 2020 Dogwood Parade has been postponted according to an email sent out from The Quincy Chamber of Commerce.

This year's Dogwood weekend is set for May 2 through the 5, and the theme for this year’s Blessing Health System/GatesAir Dogwood Parade is “Party Like It’s 1969: Celebrating 50 Years of Dogwood.”

It isn't truly spring in Quincy until Dogwood Weekend. And now just over a week out, (May 3-5) we have our FULL schedule. If you are planning on attending any of the festivities, here's what you need to know.

The Annual Avenue of Lights opens Thanksgiving night with over 100 lighted displays in Moorman and Wavering Parks in Quincy. This year’s Avenue of Lights is the biggest, brightest and most animated yet with more than 350 separate pieces and over 15 miles of lights!

It is almost that time of year, a time when the family and friends pile into the family car and drive through the incredible Avenue of Lights. Beginning Thanksgiving night, November 27, and running through January 1, the  Avenue of Lights will take over the Wavering/Moorman Park complex with more than 350 separate pieces and over 15 miles of lights.

According to the latest Quincy Chamber of Commerce newsletter, Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning is warning business owners about the possibility of fire alarm hoax calls.

The lights for the 2013 edition of the Avenue of Lights will be turned off for this holiday season tomorrow night. The Avenue of Lights is located in the Wavering/Moorman Park complex with more than 350 separate pieces and over 15 miles of lights illuminated. Mother Nature was kind enough to allow the Dogwood Festival parade to be held with just some sprinkles and light rain Saturday.  Unfortunately, all of the Dogwood Block Parties were rained out Friday night. Once the parade concluded the Quincy Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the float competition.
