Leave it to Beaver

"Well, hello Mrs. Cleaver.  You are looking lovely today".  Those words from Eddie Haskell were uttered for the first time as "Leave it to Beaver" was telecast for the very first time on CBS Television on this date in 1957.  The show eventually moved to ABC in its third season.
