Great River Honor Flight

After 2-years of the program being delayed due to the pandemic, the Great River Honor Flight will resume once again starting May 19.

COVID-19 has grounded the Great River Honor Flights for 2020.

The Great River Honor Flight’s fifth mission for 2019 left early this morning from the campus of John Wood Community College.

For the fourth time this year, the Great River Honor Flight takes off this weekend on its mission to bring veterans to the nation's war memorials.

If there's one thing I love about Quincy, it's how we always seem to come together to help our veterans. On June 30, you can support the Honor Flight and get a little sweet treat for yourself as well.

The first mission of 2016 for the Great River Honor Flight program will focus on the 126th Unit of the Illinois Army National Guard who served in Vietnam in 1968-1969.

On August 27, the next mission of the Great River Honor Flight program will head to Washington DC. This is the 32nd mission overall since the program started back in 2010 and will bring the total number of local veterans who have flown to Washington DC for free to over 1,000.  This mission will include local veterans who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
