Election 2016

Little in America went the way people expected in Election 2016, and anyone watching Stephen Colbert’s live 2016 Showtime special can certainly attest to that. The mood was one of shock, far more than laughter, but leave it to Colbert to still get audiences on their feet with a rousing, sober (barely) assessment of the world going forward.

Make sure and know the rules before hitting the voting booth. It’s a good thing this voter did.

I got to the polls this morning at about 6:45, waited in line for maybe two minutes, cast my ballot, and was in the car headed home just a couple minutes shy of 7:00. Come to think of it, I don’t ever recall waiting more than five or ten minutes in a line to cast a ballot, but apparently it’s out there.

I saw this tweet from the world’s most famous astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson back in August, and as much as I don’t want to relive another vitriolic campaign season, I couldn’t help but wonder: How would a “none of the above” vote actually fare in the general election?

In an article posted Halloween morning, the Herald-Whig has offered their endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.

If you are like me, I am so over this election for the President of the United States. Haven’t we been dealing with this campaign for at least 3 years now? If not, it sure seems like it.
