Dave "Chickenman" Comer

Dave Comer would do a lot of things including helping others whenever he could. But, what my good friend couldn’t do was win his battle with cancer.

An icon in local radio, Chuck Yates, would have been 69 years old tomorrow (August 5). It sounds strange to say that since he was always considered a “teenager” by all who knew him.

An icon in local radio, Chuck Yates, would have been 68 years old today. It sounds strange to say that since he was always considered a “teenager” by all who knew him.  Chuck passed away on December 19, 2013. You see him at Quincy Gems baseball games and hear him on the air with us from time to time on Y101 Radio, but do you really know Dave Comer, the guy they call “Chickenman”? I took the opportunity to ask “Chickenman” a few questions so we all could get to know him a little better and even I learned something I didn’t know about him.

On July 2nd, the Military All-Stars will be playing the Quincy Gems in an exhibition game.
