This year's 2014 Veteran's Day Parade in Quincy will be held on Saturday, November 8. The Veteran's Parade Committee, led by Chairman Dick McKinney, works all year long on organizing this wonderful event. One of the toughest things to secure for an event like this is a "flyover" of a military aircraft.
To put on a Veteran's Parade is one thing but to get a B-25 Bomber fly over during the parade is another.
Hats off to Jim Ponsot and Dick McKinney, the parade chairmen, and their parade committee for pulling this off.
It's Veteran's Day weekend and there are plenty of activities planned in the area including the 5th Annual Veteran's Day Parade tomorrow in Quincy.
Last year there were 92 entries and this year the total is 93. The parade goes from 12th to 5th on Maine and begins at 10am.
The Annual Veteran's Day Parade in Quincy will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 10am on Maine Street. This year's committee is working hard to put the parade together and one of their objectives is to secure a flyover during the parade. The parade committee has the opportunity to get a flyover of a B-25 Bomber.
