The 12th Annual Alzheimer’s Association Pro-Am Golf event is set for Monday, July 15th at Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy.  The first 24 teams to sign up are in the event at a cost of $800 for a team of 4 golfers.  If you register your team by tomorrow, May 3rd, the cost is reduced by $100 for your team.

The Alzheimer’s Association-Quincy Branch is proud to announce that its 2012 Chapter Ornament is now available. These limited edited, blown glass ornaments are handcrafted by central Illinois artist Hiram Toraason. This is the sixth in an annual series of 5-inch ornaments featuring the Association’s signature color of purple.

Being a long term member of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Advisory Board I know the organization is always looking for ways to encourage people to enhance one’s brain. With that said, the Alzheimer's Association-Quincy Area Office is looking for people in their 40s and older to participate in a fun and interactive healthy aging program called “Train Your Brain.”
