Stabbing Sends One to Blessing Hospital

Wow, what a weekend for news in Quincy. A murder case arrest was made, a multiple apartment complex 3-alarm fire, a man's body finally found in the Mississippi River and now comes word of a large group of some 30 people fighting and a stabbing of a 20-year-old man at 8th and York in Quincy.

According to WGEM's webpage, Quincy police are searching for a suspect in connection with that stabbing that took place around 4:30 this morning. The 20 year-old unidentified man was treated for non-life threatening injuries to his back and face.

WGEM's report says the incident occurred in the same area that Quincy Police officers were earlier sent to twice for reports of a large group with as many as 30 people fighting. No details on the fighting incident were reported.

Police are looking for a black male wearing a "money" shirt, with a cross tattoo on his face in the stabbing incident. The investigation is continuing.
