One of the side effects of our new lifestyle (thanks to Coronavirus crisis) is that the mind has too much time to think about things. Trying to find something to talk or write about these days is difficult because everything seems to drift back to Coronavirus. So as I sit here writing this, I looked down and saw my Pepsi bottle right in front of me. It got my inquiring mind to thinking where did the name Pepsi come from in the first place? So I did some research on it and it came from a medical experiment.

Back in 1898 when Pepsi was developed, the company created by Caleb D. Bradham, a pharmacist in New Bern, North Carolina, was actually making a medicinal product which evolved into a soft drink.

Its name came from a digestive enzyme called Pepsin. So with a simple dropping of the letter N the soft drink and the name of Pepsi was born.  Now, I wonder if you drink Pepsi will it kill the Coronavirus.

See what I mean, everything drifts back to Coronavirus.
