Signups Underway for The Elks ‘Hoop Shoot’

The Elks Lodge #100 in Quincy will be holding their annual "Hoops Shoot" on Saturday, January 11 at St. Peter's School Gymnasium.  The pre-registration is underway and there is NO charge for your youngster to participate. This event is open to all boys and girls will be at least 8 years old as of April 1, 2020 and not older than 13 as of April 1,2020 and you do not have to be a child of an Elks member to participate.

The categories for the event are 8 &9 year old boys, 8 & 9 year old girls, 10 &11 year old boys, 10 & 11 year old girls, and 12 & 13 year old boys as well as 12 & 13 year old girls.

The Hoop Shoot will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the doors opening at 10:30 a.m. on January 11 (weather permitting). The winners in each category will move on to the Elks West Central Illinois District.  From there they will advance to the Illinois Elks Association State competition and then on to the National Elks competition.
