Put your money where your mouth is, your chance to sign up for a local BBQ competition is here!
If you are the person on the block whop always is pulling out their smoker and bragging about your ribs, pork, or beef it is time for you to put your money where your mouth is! The Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival is looking for competitors to compete in their BBQ competition, and you can sign up now. According to the Facebook page for the Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival there is only 12 spots available for the competition and you can find out all the information by clicking here!
If you are one of the 12 teams selected to compete in the cook off, you must be responsible for your own meat you have to chose between chicken, beef, or pork, and you can do some preparing of the meat before the competition starts. The first place grand prize for the winning team is $2,000, second place is $1,000, and third place is $500, plus a fourth place prize and a mayor's choice prize as well!
Now for all of us who will not be competing in the BBQ competition then you better still attend the festival because anyone who has an entry for Saturday will have a chance to taste the food cooked by the competitors (while supplies last). So you know Sam and I will be there all day on Saturday, and of course we will be there trying as much of the food as humanly possible, and of course getting ready for the incredible Country Music in the evening.
